In particular, the Environmental Law and Health & Safety Department provides clients with cross-functional support enabling the analysis of environmental and occupational health and safety matters, together with the related legal issues, such as Corporate Governance, M&A, Real Estate, Chemical & Manufacturing Industries, Energy & Natural Resources and related contractual matters.

The Department’s professionals specialize in providing assistance in the following areas:

• support to corporate management in assessing environmental risks and occupational health and safety risks
• management of relations with competent authorities
• public-private agreements for the management of environmental projects
• administrative litigation
• drafting of insurance policies covering environmental risks
• environmental pollution (water, noise, electromagnetic and air pollution)
• waste management
• management of hazardous substances
• remediation of contaminated sites
• Strategic Environmental Assessment (VAS) and Environmental Impact Assessment (VIA)
• Integrated Environmental Authorization (AIA) and Single Environmental Authorization (AUA)
• integrated pollution prevention and control (IPPC)
• preparation of environmental policies
• preparation of corporate policies aimed at protecting safety and minimizing health risks in the workplace
• system of delegations and powers of attorney, including delegations of functions pursuant to Article 16 of Legislative Decree 81/2008, and drafting of related documents
• Organization, Management and Control Models pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/2001 for environmental offences and occupational health and safety offences, and coordination between environmental and safety management systems and “231 processes and systems”
